Christian Crawlers
4x4 Club

If you found this site hopefully your in the Memphis, TN area and would like to get involved with some Christians and participate in family oriented off road activities.  At this point we are basically a sister club to the Christian Crawlers out of NW Arkansas.  The Christian Crawlers have extended their ministry into outreach by taking the theme of Church planting and applying it to ORV Clubs.  We will be the first club to participate in this ministry. 

Our goal will be to provide a forum to plan group social events and ORV trail rides in an atmosphere that is family friendly and brings glory to God.  We have chosen to call the club Calvary Crawlers of Memphis to bring focus to our ultimate goal of bringing people to Christ.  Everything is still in the developmental stages but our logo will be a jeep climbing Calvary with 3 crosses at the top.  Below the logo will be the words "We Climbed Golgotha" and the verse Gal 2:20 will be the theme.  We will use Calvary in our name for internet search purposes but using Golgotha on our logo seems to draw people's couriosity (Where is Golgotha off road park). 

There will be much more to come and I'll post any event I plan to attend an promote the new club.  My first official attempt to advertise and talk to people about the club will be a car show at Faith Baptist Church in Bartlett that is sponsored by Memphis Classic Chevy Club (MCCC).  Between now and then it will all be word of mouth.

Great to hear from you.  At this point everything we do will be posted on this site.  We are a long way from getting started.  Any ideas you have or input would be appreciated.  I am going to my first actual event to try and recruit members on Saturday August 29th.  Its a car show at Faith Baptist Church in Bartlett, TN (part of the Memphis area).  I'll be setting up a booth and flying the UCORA/Christian Crawlers colors.  If there's any chance you can get to Memphis that day I'd love to meet you and discuss the new club.

Well we had the car show.  It was nice but a little disappointing.  They put the 4x4's out by the road to draw in people but after 4 of us lined up the other 4x4's started lining up next to the judging booth.  Eventually the other 3 4x4's left to join the others leaving me with too much stuff to move.  I just stayed and let God deal with geography.  Met a lot of people and had maybe 10 good leads and hopefully at least 4-5 will follow through.  Took first place in my class as well.  Posted a few pics of the tent and my jeep after cleaning at home.  Notice any new items?

Welcome 99ram from the Memphis area.  Did you make it to the car show yesterday?  Glad to have you check us out. 

Chris, congratulations on the first place finish!  Did you get enough interest in the new club to have a meeting to discuss what next? 

Not yet, still waiting on some responses.  I talked to someone else to day and gave out a couple of cards last night.  Things are moving but very slowly.  This is car show season in the area and I may hit 2 more shows between now and early October.  It would be great to have 3-4 members by then and all of us bring our rigs.

There are 2 more events this fall I'm going to try and attend.  They are both car shows at local large Churches.  After that I will start checking to see what I can do to actually advertise on Church Web sites or through Church outreach.  The events will be held on 9/26 and 10/3.
