I just finished reading this book, written in 1942. It is a little difficult to read at some points because of Lewis' writting style and time period. BUT, this is a must read in my opinion and considered a masterpiece by others. It's a series of letters from a devil named Screwtape to his nephew, Wormwood, (a junior tempter) about how to woo a Christian away from God. Screwtape refers to God/Jesus as "the enemy". And Satan as "Our Father Below". "Be not deceived, Wormwood, our cause is never more in jeopardy than when a human, no longer desiring but still intending to do our Enemy's will, looks round upon a universe in which every trace of Him seems to have vanished, and asks why he has been forsaken, and still obeys." Has anyone else read this?

"Its life or death now. Make your choice.  Who's side are you on?"
