Is the start of the Buckhorn trail on the on the opposite side of the road of the big cleared parking area right after you cross the creek? (Coming from Van Buren on 220) I went by there today and drove a half mile or so on a trail marked with "Red Diamonds". Is this the Buckhorn trail? Where can I get a good map of the trails?

Thanks

That sounds like the trail.  I'm not sure there is a good map.  Here is a link to a map I scanned http://www.christiancrawlers4x4.com/Club-Documents/BuckhornTrail-1.pdf

I had to scan it in two parts.  I think the first link has the buckhorn trail marked.

Yes, that is the trail.  After a mile or so, you will come to a T.  If  you turn right, you come back out on 220 in just a 1/4 mile or so.  If you turn left, you'll run the full trail.  There are several other trails in the area too.
