BRC is a great cause and I think we should probably discuss this at the meeting Thursday regarding a possible sponsorship of some sort.

Club voted to pledge a minimum of $1:00/mile.  We thought we would let each club member pledge what they were comfortable with then add up the individual pledges and pledge that amout as a club.  So if all 50 + members each pledged 10 cents/mile ($12.00 for a finish) we would have a club pledge of $5.00+ a mile?  If our combined individual pledges total less than $1.00/mile then our club would make up the difference and make the $1/mile pledge.  So post up what your comfortable with by the end of January so we know what we can pledge as a club.

I'll start us off by pledging 20 cents/mile for my part of the club pledge.

I tell you what since it was my idea I'll up the bar to 50 cents a mile and if he wins I'll throw in another $40 to make it an even $100.00

Randy, when do you need these pledges in and I'm thinking Paypal is best way to consolidate them?

I already "signed up" for $1.00/mile and posted on Pirate.  They will emil me when KOH is over and they know the mileage.  Then I thought we could just pay according to whatever we had pledges for at the time.  I guess the club will have to cover it and collect the pledges at our next meeting.

How do we want to do this.  Best I can tell he didn't finish and unofficially he made 98 miles.  I would like to make one donation from the club and then collect from everyone.  Is that alright?  Also I say we just go ahead and donate as if he finished instead of the 98 miles.  What does everyone else think?  What was the official length of the race?

I will donate my money once the official announcement is made.  The race was 120 miles this year, 2-60 mile laps.   You will need to give them a few days to get the official times posted.

Ok, I've added a Donations page for those that would like to pay their pledge amount online by credit card or Paypal account.  The driver completed 98 of the 120 mile race. That's close enough for me so I paid as if he had finished the race.

It's up to each that made a pledge as to what they want to do.  Just enter BRC Pledge in the description and the amount or your donation.  When we receive all pledges Larry will make our payment to BRC as a club from our club paypal account.  Thank's to those that were able to pledge to this great cause.
