Good question.  I don't know?  According to the jeep trivia I was looking at the Land Rover was a close second!  Who's got the next trivia question?

My research says that Willys Overland and Ford each put out specailized vehicles (basically there version of Jeeps) in WW2 before the Land Rover came around.
