Mark and I are planning an overland route to the CO Summit. The plan is to start Thursday morning Oct. 27 and arrive at the summit sometime Fri afternoon. The starting point will be Natural Dam Ar. which is on hwy 59 north of Van Buren or just southwest of Fayetteville. We will be traveling forest/county roads most of the route. Anyone is welcome to join us. Probably should be a limit of about 8 vehicles.  If anyone is interested in joining us for this trip post up!

Also we will be doing some route planning this Saturday, the 8th, if anyone wants to join us.  We will be meeting at the Natural Dam store and cafe(good eats) around 8:30 Sat morning.  This is a scouting trip so we expect to run into some dead-end tails and most of what we will be running will be forest service roads, nothing really challenging but some beautiful country!  It could make for a long day as well.  Our route will most likely include the area around Shores lake and White Rock Mountain as we wind our way from Natural Dam over to the West Fork area then on to Mulberry Mountain, near Cass traveling off-road as much as possible.

If you would like to go this Saturday let me know, we will need to keep the rig count to about six total for this scouting trip.  We have posted this on the CO forum as well so if you're interested in the scouting trip this Saturday get your name in as soon as possible because it will be first come first serve.
