OK, I am getting ready to purchase a CB for my rig and want to get some advice. Would like to have a dual purpose unit (in vehicle and portable without having to buy both. Also looking for best place to install if I do just buy an in vehicle unit. Oh, and most importantly, the best low profile antenna you may have found. I am considering a firestick. I am going to install a roll cage in the near future and I'm considering mounting the CB to it.

Please let me know what you have and the pros/cons. I am considering a Cobra 29 WX  NW BT for the in vehicle unit or the Midland 75-822 for a hand held.

Pics of install location if you have one. :)

I would just go with a cobra 29 they seem to be very popular and work good enough for anything you ever need to use it for just my 2 cents worth

That's the model I have. Pics will have to wait til its light out; I mount it on the dash over the radio. I like the weather radio. I have a Wilson flex antenna mounted on my tailgate, If you come to the meeting Thursday at Dinks I should be there

Go with the Cobra 75 WX ST in the JK.  Not sure if this pic will come through, but it's shown in a JK.  This is what I have been running for a couple years now.  The JK has no good options in my opinion for installing a CB box.  This Cobra solves that by putting everything in the handset.  This pic isn't my JK, but I have the same setup.

I just bought a Rock hard sport cage that a regular one will fit perfectly on. Thanks for all of the pics and feedback!
