I started installing my Rough Country lift kit around 9:30 this morning, and was finished and driving by 6:00 p.m.  That includes a good long lunch break as well.  All in all it was fairly easy.  The only problem I had was when a prybar got out of hand and flew back and hit me in the face and split my lip open!  Ouch!  Otherwise it went together very well.

This was the Rough Country 3.25" kit for TJ's.  Included new front and rear coil springs, 3/4" spacers, shocks, sway bar links, rear track bar relocation bracket, and transfer case drop kit.  I followed what a lot of other guys have done and left the rear spacers out.  This caused a bigger lift for the front, which ended up leveling the Jeep out.  I also was able to get away without installed the transfer case drop.  I'll use the pucks that came in that kit for raising the driver's seat, which sits too low for my tastes.

I actually ended up with around 3.5" of lift, so I'm pretty happy.

I also made and installed some homemade front swaybar disconnects.

I now have plenty of room for 33's, but I'll have to save up some more money for those.

I'll post pics soon.

Cool!  Sorry to hear about the runaway prybar.  That sounds like some of my experiences when I'm working on my rig!  How many times did you have to run to the auto parts/hardware store for extra parts :)

I actually only had to make one trip!  I needed a T-55 Torx bit for the rear track bar, and I didn't have one.  Or, more specifically, didn't have a GOOD one.  Some tools just aren't worth buying at Harbor Freight!

Good job Casey!  Looks like you're ready to go!  I like the quick discos.
