nice, I had a 69 several years back. 3 on the tree, 302. All I did to it was change the intake/carb, ungraded the brakes (pretty much master cyl. to the pads)and gave her a 2" puck lift. Yeah, some days I wish I still had her :) Best of luck finding one in good condition that won't break the bank. I'll keep an eye out for you.

Nice choice! I love the old EB's. I know of some leads. Will see what I can come up with. T

www.classicbroncos.com always has lots of rigs for sale. Also expect to pay $7,500 to 10,000 for one in the condition you want. Best years to look for are 77 with power disc brakes, Dana 44 rear, big bearing 31 spline 9 inch,  Dana 20, power steering and C4 auto. From there, it basically just goes down the years. 74-76 are still good but the 66-73's you could end up with non power drum brakes, Dana 30 front, six cylinder, still Dana 20, still 9 inch, manual steering and more rust. If you have the $$$, I know where there is a mint, garage hidden, bone stock, original 77 in NWA that could be had for $25k!!

Please do send leads.  I have one now that I'm following as well.
I'm looking for a resto package, not a resto-mod-super-big-tires-etc.

Let's say this another way.  I'm looking for a super cool overland vehicle that would be interesting to drive on an overlanding trip...dang capable out of the box... so it has to be restorable to a streetable condition.

You may have already seen these. Found several others but apparently they are prone to rust.

I didn't see the one from Tulsa.  thanks for digging that out!  The rest I've seen.  I had a line on a fair deal in Little Rock but he got a full price offer.

I'm  looking for one that is "restore ready"... the less chopping and replacing the better.

My best current option is one in Denver (my daughter lives there) that looks very promising.  It's a little more expensive but it is UNCUT and has the original motor and drive train.  Being in Denver I'm suspicious of body condition.  They salt there.

I haven't done a resto before.  I have a lot of research to do before I start.  I'm thinking I won't really do much other than plan until October.
