We were looking at going canoeing next weekend, and wondered if anyone on here had input on any places that they like in particular, preferrably in western Arkansas with good family camping.  We looked up a little info on Kings and Caddo River.  We saw White River, but we floated that several years ago and we remember that the water was so cold you wouldn't want to get in it.  Is it like that this time of year?  As soon as we figure out where we're going we'll post it up.  Anyone interested is welcome to join us.

No, I heard it's really nice, though.  I just didn't want to drive that far.  We live south of Tulsa.  Is the water usually up this time of year?

It is not usually up this time of year but this is not a normal year. Lower buffalo is ample floating right now.
