Well we all made through without any damage. The trail was great. The scenery was awsome, some old homesites with rockwalls etc. Nice views and of course the leaves were perfect. The area is so big that its hard to give a report on the entire trail system. We spent 3hours running about 6 miles of a 26 mile loop! It is a great trail for small tire stock type rigs. And yes, it does require four wheel drive( I was afraid it was going to be just a flat road in the woods). We could spend several weekends running this area and never run the same trail twice. Its in the neighborhood of 20-30 thousand acres. Its close to Devils Den State Park and only 40 miles to the trailhead from fayetteville. It would be fun to camp there and go trailriding on the National Forest. Overall it is a great place to explore/4 wheel. It was actually better than I expected. Cant wait to go back.
Thanks to Mark Adkins for leading this trail run on October 26th 2009. And thanks for the great pictures. It looks like a great trail!
