Yeah, overall it was a great weekend. Yay God for the weather. What a blessing. It makes the entire
experience even better. Disney is really beautiful right now. Now, my truck didn't have as good a
weekend as I did. She's hurtin' pretty bad on the right side. Here's the story, but Randy will have
to put up the pics because I didn't get any.
We had just got done in the chilli bowl and headed to the trenches. I crawled down it starting from
the top and realized it wasn't as challenging as it used to be. But at the very bottom part of it,
I started to nose my right side front tire down into a hole. I was at a bad angle and couldn't see
it real well over my hood. Well, I got down in it and it started to tip over and it was too late to
stop it. I watched the door and windshield pillar start to cave in while I was whispering
"no... no.... NO..."
Then, as the winshield pillar started coming in more and more, I watched the windshield crack a
little and then pop out and go flying 5 or 10 feet. When it was all over, I was bracing myself up by
putting my hand on the passenger's side door panel. Now that I'm recalling everything, I can't
remember how I got out. But anyway, Larry hooked his winch up and pulled it back over on it's tires,
I started cleaning up all my tools, parts, nuts and bolts. I checked all the fluids and looked
everything over real good. I don't think I lost a drop of anything and she fired right up and kept me
going all the rest of the weekend. (putting the toyota reliability to the test) Ha!
