Well here goes. We got there at 9ish, unloaded and promptly began shivering. The temp was 30 and the wind was blowing prretty good. My heater works fine but it was pretty drafty w/o the doors or top. We were just about to head out when two other rigs rolled in. Don and pass. (I forgot his name) in a yj on 33's and Daniel in a zuk.....grand vitara. We decided to let them show us around for a while. We went back to the hill climbs and played there. Then we went to 3 fingers and climbed that. Then we wound our way to the parking lot to park the zuk. Then it was on to the cave. Jeremy and I played on a waterfall...w/ no success. Then at the cave while eating lunch Don looked at my jeep and noticed the outer shackle on the drivers front was broke and the inner one was cracked. So I only played on the cave hill climb a little bit...never made it. Then Jeremy tried it and after some tries we noticed that both back tires weren't spinning. Not a problem if you have open diffs or forgot to turn your locker on, but its a problem when your diffs are welded. So we headed out and found a ledge to play on. Don tried and then backed off, Jeremy and I went up and then Randy. The rock was pretty slick and he slid sideways which landed him between a rock.....and well another rock, firmly planted under the reciever hitch. A small tug from the ol' winch and he was up. Then it was time to head to the house for me as I didn't want to push it. - Stan O.
