Various photo's of Christian Crawlers trip on 121909. High Temp: 32* GREAT TURNOUT!!
Occasional snowflakes. 14 ORV's. 13 4wd vehicles. 1 four wheeler. No major damage, mud in Casey's alternator, Henry's fuel pump with some trash in it. Everybody made it back in one piece. Larry/Weberockin............. Great run guys! I met Casey, his friend Larry, Chris W. and Larry S at the Lowell exit at about 7:45 from there we headed to the truck stop at Greenland grabbed some breakfast and met Henry, his friend Robert, and Mike B. After a quick repair to replace the throttle adjustment screw on Henry's XJ we were back on the road heading toward the horse camp at Devil's den. Casey and his friend Larry unloaded their rigs at the horse camp parking area, we snapped a few pictures, then headed down state highway 220, one of the only highways in the state that is not paved! Six miles down the road we found the rest of the group, Mark, Branson and his friends Pat and Aaron, and Wingo and his friend Mike, in a large parking area at the trailhead. Wingo and Mike made the trip all the way from McAlester OK! I want to thank Mark and Branson for helping lead this group of 13 rigs and one ATV down the Buckhorn Trail and one other short trail in this same area. These were just two of the many trails in this area and I am sure we will be exploring much more of this area next year. This trail run was not a real technical run requiring a built rig, but was a trail that allows some of those new to our sport to experience the fun of off-roading while seeing some beautiful country, and for me any day in God's great outdoors wheelin with family and friends makes for a lot of fun! This is one of those trails that a stock rig can run and just have fun on. The trails were fairly wide and covered a variety of terrain and best of all it's close to home! I enjoyed wheeling with some of these guys for the first time and look forward to the next time we share the trail together. Randy/Trailfrog
