Buckhorn Run 12/19/2009 | Buckhorn Trail As told by Randy Putt Our club’s annual Christmas party was scheduled for Saturday December 19th at 6pm so we decided we would find a nice, family friendly, trail to run that day before the party started. Mark and Branson, two club members, had run this trail a few times already and it sounded like just what we were looking for, so the club decided to check it out! The high temperature was forecast to be 32 degrees so everyone bundled up and headed for the trail. We had a GREAT TURNOUT with thirteen 4x4 vehicles, and one four wheeler! more |
Crawl 4 Christ 7/4/2009 | It's not always about the wheeling... As told by Randy Putt We all had a great time rock crawling and running the many trails but, in my opinion, the highlight of the whole event was Saturday night. We all met at 7:00pm at the camp Tabernacle building. Amy Hill started the evening off with a concert just for the Crawl 4 Christ group. Wow, what a voice, and she even wrote a song just for Crawl 4 Christ with David and Judy Austin assisting with the choreography! The massage by Guy, one of UCORA’s founders, was both truthful and inspiring, and a BIG thanks to all the raffle sponsors for helping to make this event a big success. more |
SMORR Weekend 05/23/2009 | Twas the Night Before SMORR... As told by Randy Putt And all through the house, every creature was stirrin', even the spouse! Remember when you were a kid and Christmas was just weeks away? The anticipation and excitement grew stronger every day until the night before finally arrived! That’s the way it was with the members of our club that were going to SMORR (Southern Missouri Off-Road Ranch) for the first time. more |
Disney Run 04/18/2009 | A Wet Day Wheelin’ is Still Better Than a Dry Day at Work! As told by Randy Putt Thank you Lord for this opportunity to enjoy your awesome creation! Our club had a fundraiser planned but because of forecasted thunderstorms it was cancelled, so we decided to go wheeling instead. The chosen location was Disney Oklahoma, one of our club’s favorites, because of the variety of off road playgrounds offered there, the short ninety minute drive, and it’s free! more |
Red Star Trail 03/7/2009 | Red Star Trail As told by Branson Hall I just returned today from a weekend of wheeling. We were planning on spending most of our weekend at Byrd's, but we never got there. Me and a couple of buddies took our wives and our Jeeps and stayed in a cabin at St Paul on Hwy 16 E. We were heading to Byrd's and decided to continue east to Red Star to check out another friend’s cabin. After we checked out the cabin, we spent the entire day running up and down the old roads in the national forest. more |
